The American Academy of Arts and Letters is an honor society of the country’s 250 leading architects, artists, composers, and writers. Each year it elects new members as vacancies occur, administers over 70 awards and prizes, exhibits art and manuscripts, funds performances of new works of musical theater, and purchases artwork for donation to museums across the United States.

Composer Huck Hodge wins $200,000 Charles Ives Living Award

Huck Hodge has won the Charles Ives Living Award and will receive $200,000 over a two-year period beginning in July 2018.

2018 Invitational Exhibition of Visual Arts

Paintings, sculptures, video, film, and works on paper by 35 contemporary artists will be exhibited in the galleries of the American Academy of Arts and Letters on historic Audubon Terrace (Broadway between 155 and 156 Streets) from Thursday, March 8 through Sunday, April 8, 2018.
