Publications

The Academy's annual Proceedings is a compilation of speeches from the Ceremonial, including the Blashfield Address; tributes to deceased members that were read at members’ meetings; a calendar of the year’s events; and a current list of members. The most recent volume of Proceedings is no. 55 for 2004.

To celebrate the Academy’s centennial in 1998, members produced a Portfolio of 50 prints in an edition of 100. The Academy published a catalogue of this portfolio.

Additionally, Columbia University Press published A Century of Arts and Letters, in which eleven academicians told the history of the Academy decade by decade. These academicians were Louis Auchincloss, Jack Beeson, Hortense Calisher, Ada Louise Huxtable, Wolf Kahn, R.W.B. Lewis, Richard Lippold, Norman Mailer, Cynthia Ozick, Arthur Schlesinger, Jr., and John Updike, editor.
