This spring Arts and Letters is partnering with multidisciplinary arts institution The Kitchen to host Dance and Process, The Kitchen’s longest-running program. Dance and Process invites choreographers to develop new work through a 10-week process of sharing feedback with established choreographers serving as mentors and curators. Past curators include Neil Greenberg, Steve Gross, Miguel Gutierrez, Sarah Michelson, Dean Moss, and Yasuko Yokoshi. Dance and Process is currently co-curated by Yve Laris Cohen and Moriah Evans. The choreographers-in-residence are Martita Abril, Jonathan González, and Anh Vo.

Dance and Process at Arts and Letters gives choreographers a rare opportunity to develop works inside its gallery spaces, repurposing them as studios for a four-month residency and as a site for final performances in early June. The partnership responds to The Kitchen’s need for space while its Chelsea location undergoes renovation and furthers Arts and Letters’s commitment to supporting young artists.
