At the November dinner meeting in 1903, Robert Underwood Johnson and J. Carroll Beckwith rose to speak in appreciation of their late colleagues Robert Frederick Blum and Alfred Q. Collins. These were the first of the commemorative tributes, which have since become an Academy tradition. Tributes to deceased members are delivered at the April and November dinner meetings and subsequently published in the annual Proceedings.
Tributes delivered since 2000 are now available on the Academy’s website. Past decades will be available soon.
